01 / OUR BACKGROUND

Specialist printing.
A bigger perspective.

3D Printing Steps is a specialist 3D printing service operated by Invention Steps Pty Ltd, based on the Gold Coast. It is our website and service brand, not a separate company.

For 13 years, Invention Steps has helped inventors and businesses work through the journey from an initial idea to a physical product. Its work spans product design, engineering, 3D CAD, prototyping, factory sourcing and manufacturing support.

That foundation is backed by more than 30 years of product development experience across consumer and commercial applications, working with over 1,000 inventors over the years.

3D Printing Steps brings that practical understanding to 3D printing and CAD support. Whether you need a simple part or a prototype to answer a bigger question, we look at what you are trying to achieve before deciding how to make it.

DESIGNED AROUND A GROWING COLLECTION.

Finity Frames

A modular display system built around the way collections grow.

Designed for minifigures and small collectibles, Finity Frames connects individual frames into a larger display. Removable dividers let collectors arrange the space around what they want to show.

Featured in Invention Steps’ design and development portfolio and launched through Kickstarter, it shows how a product idea can develop into a complete system.

04 / WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR PROJECT

Print the part.
Understand the purpose.

01

Start with the job it needs to do.

A display model, fit check and functional prototype need different approaches.

02

Think beyond the screen.

Consider assembly, handling, materials and how the part will actually be used.

03

Make the next step clear.

Use your prototype to answer a question and understand what needs refining.

YOUR NEXT IDEA STARTS HERE
